We are currently seeking an Appraisal Review Officer, SR. Responsibilities include the following: Reviewing appraisals performed on commercial real estate properties to determine that: 1) the valuations conform to regulatory requirements (FIRREA) and Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), and 2) said valuations reflect current market conditions, reasonable assumptions and appropriate technical analysis. Complete restricted appraisal reports for renewal loans. Maintain current knowledge of real estate markets and trends to ensure valuations are reasonable and reliable. As needed, assist the Chief Appraisal Officer in the development and implementation of appraisal policies and procedures. Expand upon professional expertise in the appraisal field through continuing education. Effectively communicate assignment results and departmental policies throughout the banking organization. Maintain multiple state licenses consistent with the Bank’s footprint. As needed, perform other departmental duties as directed by the Chief Appraisal Officer.
Skills and Qualifications
5+ (five+) years of overall experience in commercial/residential real estate appraisal work.
Certified General Appraiser License.
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated work experience. Master’s degree in real estate related discipline or professional designation preferred.
Proven customer service skills with ability to maintain client relationships.
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
Strong computer skills in Word, Excel and Outlook.
Knowledge of banking industry and associated regulations.
